Should I wear hoop earrings for our first date (dinner date)?

I generally like them. Wear what you like. You to find a guy who is happy with your taste, not a guy who hates your style. If you enjoy being told what to wear, (my wife does, to some extent) you can tell him that after you know each other a bit better.

It are nice and decent hoop earrings. I think most of the guys like them. They are not very big and it's much better than not wearing earrings and all. Or wearing colorful earrings. Or small earrings with a stone. I hate both of them.

Yea but to be honest on the first date I am so nervous that I don‘t think I would see the earrings at all😀
