I just wanna clear this up. This isn't about hooking up. This is about trying out a possible relationship between 2 people who might have developed feelings for each other and unsure if it is the right move to explore it.

So that shows your priority. I have date 3 people and only 1 of them was sexual. Dating is far more than sex. Intimate can be sharing deep personal feelings with the other person.
Now the difintion of intimate is close personal private. Usually associated with conversation. You can have an intimate conversation with your doctor or your friend. Intimate does not mean sex.
