If someone is being stubborn and nonchalant with you, do you put up with it or cut them off?

they’ll do this for like a whole day but when I see them they’re nice and fun... what to do? they take everything I say to the heart when I’m just trying to communicate

It depends on how stubborn they were.

If they wouldn't compromise at all , or ignored me all day, I'd first talk to them about it, and let them know I won't tolerate their behaviour as I find it immature, controlling and manipulative. If they continued to behave that way after I'd spoken to them about it, i'd cut them out of my life.

I can overlook some negative traits in people, but any kind of controlling behaviour is a deal-breaker for me. Subborness to the extreme can be very toxic to your life

If their stubbornness was having a negative influence in my life, i'd cut ties with them.

Well first of, have a talk with them about it, it never hurts to try. Then, if it keeps going, well, it's up to you and whether you think you can handle it.
