Why do you ‘orbit’ their social media if you’re no longer dating them?

Maybe you dated for 2 weeks, maybe you dated for 2 years... but if you’re not responding to texts and/or have no interest in dating them again then why orbit their social media?

Orbiting in this sense could be watching their stories, liking the odd post, checking in on their Facebook or insta page.

Maybe some still have feelings, and can't let go? Almost all my break-ups were 'good' in that we were just going in different directions, and parted as friends. Don't really talk to most, anymore, but an occasional Facebook 'Happy Birthday' is cool.
