From my standpoint, it depends on the strength of the guy. The first guy looks "reasonably" strong although his gut is in the extremities. The second guy just looks like he sat on his ass all day eating and drinking, just flab all over and gut, soft like pregnant princess. No muscle in sight. At least have some strength to go with that gut.

Don't look like a pregnant princess with a beard. That's a good rule of thumb, I think. If guy has got, get some strength in the chest, shoulders, back, forearms, legs. A powerful gut should at least have a powerful body to accompany it.

i think if that’s his body from eating or something then it’s fine. but if he drinks so much beer that it causes his belly to grow, then it’s unattractive because he drinks too much.
