What do you think of the "goofy guy"?

I recently just started dating this guy and he's very sweet but he's always joking around and is very immature. At times it can be hard to tell when he's being serious. He's actually very smart and hard working but also seems like he never grew up. I'm not sure what my friends and family will think of him.

I don't really like goofy. I like a playful side to a serious person. But that's different. Goofy is a turnoff for me. I agree with you, it seems like they never really grew up. Or, they like being the life of the party, and drawing attention is not something that appeals to me either. I like very intimate relationships.

Insecure. Do not reinforce stupid behavior. When he is funny-avoiding dig down and ask things in one quick, concise, and clear sentence. Sometimes, women need to be directed that way as well.

I don't think he's insecure. He seems like a confident person. But always messing around can get a little annoying.

For sure. Same with women and the too cutesy or slutty for me to hold their hand in public... Sometimes gentle and loving steering is all I am saying. If he gets offended because you are trying to make it better from your position THEN let him hide behind his protective joking shield.
