I wouldn't date any of my friends' exes. However, I "played cupid" and paired two friends of mine with two exes of mine. It turned out great for them. So, the two pairs got married and they even gave me key roles in their wedding entourage.
That is so disrespectful to do, I wouldn't even think about doing something like that.
That's a major violation of "The Bro Code".
There really needs to be lots of discussion and approval among the bros and the girl involved before that become OK. I've seen it successfully work only once in 1987.

I am rewording what is in that URL slightly...
Rule Number 4: If a girl falls one or more of these categories, she is off limits forever until the end of time (or until he is no longer your bro):
A) Was a bro's ex-girlfriend.
B) Your bro specifically told you he wanted her.
C) Is your bro's sister.
Of course, violating any of these rules turns that guy from being your bro to not being your bro and possibly becoming an enemy... or brother-in-law.

The 11 Rules of Bro Code
4. NEVER HOOK UP WITH OR DATE A BRO’S EX-GIRLFRIEND (WITHOUT PERMISSION)
This is definitely a touchy subject among men. It’s full of plenty of gray area. Two different scenarios could call for two very different reactions.
Scenario 1: Your friend dated a girl for two months, and you really hit it off with her three years later? That’s probably fair game.
Scenario 2: Your friend dated a girl for four years, and you try to hook up her four weeks later? That’s breaking the bro code.
I usually try to avoid these situations altogether, because there are so many girls out there and it’s usually just not worth the trouble. But if did find myself enamored with a friend’s ex, the metric I would use would be to simply ask myself if taking her to bed would make me feel guilty. If it would at all, then I don’t do it.
If it wouldn’t, I would still ask beforehand. In general, much trouble can be avoided by simply asking.
It’s good etiquette, and it’s a sign of respect. So just ask.
Depends! If I see something in her that he didn't, then I'll go flying past him to her. If they broke up because she cheated on him... I don't care how gorgeous she looks, I'm out ✌️! She'll do the same to me

Um.. yes who wasn't only the ex of my friend but was the sister of my ex.
Yeah lol.. but I did run it by both people before I got involved with her and they were both fine with it so it worked out in the end weirdly enough she was probably the best relationship I had out of all the ones I've been in.
that really depends. who was was the crazy person. and who was the stupied person to go out with.
I never have but I am about to. What do you think I should do in this situation?
I have no moral objection to it, but my male friends tend to go out with women whom I do not find particularly interesting so it is not likely.
Depends on how serious the relationship was, how often I see my friend and when it happened.
nah i got too much loyalty for that, now a friend that became an op or a un real friend, probably
Probably not depending on the relationship they had and how my friends feel about them
