While having my own views on age gap relationships , I think it is down to the couple , if they are happy so be it, I hope the have processed the full implications of their relationship , how far they want go, kids etc etc

I mean, it's not illegal, but I personally find age gaps where one person is old enough to be the other's parent to feel a bit "icky". But, it all boils down to whether you two are happy.

It's fine in my opinion. As long as he doesn't have kids that are around her age, otherwise then it would be weird. Other than that I think it is fine for long term if they have common interests, similar morals, and compatible long term life goals.

There are a lot of celebrity couples with significant age gaps, and nobody ever seems to think twice about them. As long as they are happy together, then who really cares how big of an age gap there is. It's more about mental age than physical age. There are mature 20 year olds, and there are immature 20 year olds. Likewise there are mature 40 year olds, and there are immature 40 year olds. If the 20 year old is mature, then dating a mature 40 year old can work out.
