Should I tell him I love him?

So I've been with my boyfriend for nearly 3 months officially but we've been talking for about 6 months. I feel ready to say that I love him to him, but I worry that if he says it back he's only saying it cause I said it. What should I do?

Follow you heart dear. 3 months of getting to know each other and now three months of being intimate it is more than likely you have developed strong feelings for him. The foundation of any relationship if communication, and sharing the feelings you are developing is something you should be free to express.

I might suggest waiting for a quiet moment when you have private time together (NOT bedtime material btw) and starting the conversation by saying how much you have enjoyed getting to know each other and what the relationship means to you. That is a very honest statement to be making. He might surprise you and start to open up quickly to that line of thinking. If not, it is not uncommon that the lady has to bang her man on the side of his head with a 2" x 4" ! Men are not all together when it comes to relationships.

As the conversation continues it would be appropriate to share that you are starting to fall for him. So far you have just been gently opening the doors for him to follow your on your thinking. If he truly has feelings you will find out that evening. If not you may be finding out your emotional investment is not paying off.

Tread softly, but tread forward. This is important to you and you have every right to know if he is following the same path as you!

Read my second paragraph, start there. Saying to much to quick can throw guys off. Start the conversation by discussion the relationship and how it is growing. Your feelings are starting to develop and you like how it feels. Listen to him closely, sometimes you have to be patient with guys and let them try to work out the words. I bet by the end of the very thoughtful and heart felt conversation, you end up where you want to be!

you cannot control another persons feeling, you can only control your own and let yours be known. Whatever his reaction to you telling him how you feel isn't something you can control but most people like to know they are loved. So let him know.
