He said he loves me. What should I do?

I’ve been seeing this guy for several months now. Shortly after we met we decided to be casual but it’s been many months since then and things have evolved. I was with him last night and he said I love you. He said it kind of quietly but I still said what and kept asking him what he said but he wouldn’t say it again. I definitely feel strongly for him as well but I wouldn’t say it’s love just yet but I’m very open to exploring things with him but I just don’t know if I should bring it up. With how he responded after I don’t want to cause him to shut down and not feel comfortable being that vulnerable again and I’m confused as to why he didn’t just say that he said that or just not say it at all if he wasn’t ready

Pause and look at actions, not just words.

Ask yourself:
• Do his actions match “I love you”?
• Do you feel safe and respected?
• Do you feel the same, or feel pressured?

You don’t have to rush a response.
Real love grows from consistency, not one sentence.

Take your time and answer honestly when you’re clear.
