Small gift for a second date?

There is a girl i like and last week, we met for the first time, after 3 weeks talking over chat. Whenne i was about to leave, she sugested for me to come over again this week.
Now i'm thinking about giving a small gift to her like a rose or so. Do you girls still like stuff like that or not?

It’s a nice thought but I wouldn’t feel comfortable receiving gifts from him unless we were in a relationship. If he wants to treat me to an activity we’re doing together, like going to a movie or eating dinner, that’s fine. But only buying something for me is too much.

It can come across as either really sweet or really creepy.
Personally I don't think i'd want something as cheesy quite so early on, though it is a really sweet sentiment. Maybe try getting something for the two of you, like a pudding to share? I know it sounds silly but it means you aren't showing up empty handed yet you aren't forcing romance on her if she maybe isn't quite at that stage yet :)
