How do I text girl?

So my problem is, I have no idea how to text a girl, especially one that I'm just met. I really want to learn how to get better and either, make new friends, or find someone special. Any tips?

Dude. I was born in '82, so not sure what gen but didn't grow up with texting culture. I can say it's a necessary evil with definite downsides. I attract far more girls when I have a chance with them in person. Even girls I've already attracted and slept with for that matter, the texting kills it. So my advice, what works for me-- minimize texting as much as possible. Call vs text. Talk about a thing in person vs call.

That said, I know that can't always be done. But do it when you can. Does it take more courage? I guess maybe, but it's something you're going to have to 'pay' anyway to get the girl. It's a way to address the inevitable but I find it works so much better for me personally. But sometimes girls require texting. They may not want to go the phone or meetup route or you may have just matched in which case you have to dialogue with them.

I don't know. This is an area I struggle with but there are a few principles (which I struggle to keep). Timing of texts. Be briefer in your response than they are. There is a choice of being deadpan or being excited (emoting). I think both work but you have to stick with one, which I fail to do. So much doesn't come across through text so my contribution to this thread is to urge you to do it out in person or over phone at least when possible, even in 2020.

But that's the thing... you think too much on what you should talk about.

This ain't no SAT exam, it's just a simple conversation with someone.

Just be yourself. Talk about anything.
When you're talking, try giving priority to the other person.

Like... Give them more importance rather than just talking bout yourself all the time..

Also, just be you. Don't try and act all cool and shit, just to be cool with them.

Be whoever you are. Don't be someone else for anyone... coz if you do that, you'll eventually loose your identity.

Just remember, it’s a conversation. If you don’t ask questions it’ll die.
So keep in mind to have always have an active question on the board. And try to stay on course. Don’t jump from “what keeps you busy?” To “what’s your parents names” lol or some shit like that..(you get what I’m saying) xD

Just have fun and relax.. don’t try too hard. Girls can sense that. If she’s taking a while to reply do the same (once in a while)

Dont text back slow it makes us think that you aren't interested, if your in the middle of a coversation and know that you have to do something let her know dont just stop replying. If u r into her compliment her. Umm dont be boring ask her deep things but dont be evasive... Hope this helps lol

Just be yourself texting for me is a bit less stressful for me because I am a bit shy and I'm quiet when face to face face to face. Just relax try not to be nervous. Hey make that the topic of your first conversation. make it funny yet don't stray away from how stressed you are and why you felt that way that way you can talk out your texting issue while she tries to maybe give you some tips as well.
