Why is it that Asian dudes are more appreciated by Latin American women than White women?

It's interesting how in Colombia you will have women walk up to you if you're Asian and remind her of a Korean drama or pop star. But this would never happen in the USA/UK where Asians are seen as public enemy #1 right now. Asians can actually date normally in certain South American countries

Yeah Im just wondering why there's this big issue with Asian dudes in the West that doesn't exist elsewhere. And the West is supposedly the more tolerant side of the world? Latinos may call us Chinos and pull their eyes back but they oddly don't view us as 2nd rate citizens

Asian men are seen as effeminate, weak, or nerdy in the West. There's a girl who always puts pictures of BTS on this website, for example, and tries to point out how feminine they are. Then again, if you look on Youtube and watch reactions of KPOP videos, more Western women are finding Asian men attractive.
