Guys, do you want to bring girls a gift on a first date?

I’ve seen a few guys here considering buying her flowers, or occasionally other small gifts like chocolate and usually the girls say they love the idea. Is that something you would enjoy doing or is it just for your date’s benefit?
It’s a nice gesture but I would feel uncomfortable receiving gifts from him on a first date. It’s fine if he wants to pay for an activity we do together like eating at a restaurant or going to a concert but buying a present just for me is too much before we’re officially together.

I can see on the 3rd or maybe second date but the first date is a no go. I don't find it necessary to give a gift on the first date, you need to know the person first before giving them trinkets of affection
