Not from personal experience but rather from family/friends experience: 10 years is too much difference (as a rule of thumb, not a catch-all). Reason being that your cultural references and likes are probably too different for those nostalgic connections to be made which are often the ones that bond people (e. g. having the same favorite song/TV show/movie from childhood).

I wouldn't go past a gap of 10 years regardless because those relationships usually have issues and hard to make work, ideally she'd be 4-8 years younger as of right now

well nobody above 70 should be pursuing girls below them in age. Its sort of a cut off age for dating. I don't really have a problem with any age gap in dating below that cut off year.
