I was married to a plumber for 10 years lol. 1. They make good money 2. I like a man with real world skills 3. He was in trade school for 5 years so it's not like they're dumb 4. Not all plumbers deal with sewage, a lot of them deal with new construction and just lay new piping

As long as he comes home, removes the gross clothes and straight to the shower, why wouldn't bother me. It's a good career, a job that will be in demand no matter how the world changes and like I said, they make good money and have lots of skills

People didn't stop needing plumbers for a moment since plumbing was invented. It's that simple. Personally joining a union probably helped. But we know plenty of non union plumbers who never stopped working

Nope and that's the great thing about a skilled tradesman, if he loses his traditional job, he has the skills to make money doing all the side hustles in cash because people will always need them. You're not going to get a lot of side work as a business manager or computer technician because people will gladly go use a free computer at a library when broke, but if your septic system is backed up, you're calling a professional to fix it right away

They are as long as they have a lower or equal status to them. A lady doctor probably won't even look at a plumber cu she thinks her social status is higher and she makes more money.
