Do women find software engineers attractive?

I ask this question because I want to know why in particular women might find men who can program attractive. I also ask this because I feel like because I'm a huge tech head that I'm not really attractive so do you find men who code attractive and if so then why?

Your question makes little sense.

It is like if you ask what attracts you more. A person that peels onions or that collects crystals.

The job/employment is not relevant to the attraction. At least it should not be. What should be attractive is a combination of qualities but certainly not the profession or a music instrument they are playing. Both require agility either with the brain or with the fingers.

It is all subjective to the individual that judges the others's capacities to perform. A software engineer tells strictly nothing about that person's intellect or personality.

Sorry but I disagree on that last one software engineers personality greatly reflects what they do as a career simply because of creativity and humor in their work. It's no different then painting on a canvas what you paint greatly reflects how you see things through your eyes and heart. It shows someones personality via the simple things like what colors they use and how much and what they use it for.

It's the same for programming what they make and how they make it reflects how they think and what type of personality they have it's no different to painting a picture.

I get told that I am an attractive female. I work for a tech company. One of our software engineers is “nerdy” and likely has extremely low self esteem because he always talks about how he would love to have a family and kids one day.

I find him to be extremely attractive. His intelligence, patience, and willingness to teach me new skills makes him such a great guy. After I get out of this toxic ass relationship I am currently in I just might ask him out. Intelligence is attractive. So is confidence. :)

It’s the fact that he offers to show me what he has learned and simplifies it without making me feel stupid. He is very confident and knowledgeable in his area.

Whatever you do for a living can be attractive if she's already attracted to you. If you're passionate about what you do. It is you that she likes not your job. At least not a good women. It can be impressive to be with a doctor but then if he is a bad person than that's that. You are not dating his job!

The thing is I don't know if it's just me but I like my girl to appreciate my work as well I like to know that she supports my efforts and goals to an extent and not just me because without it then my point for doing it feels like it's gone unnoticed or she doesn't care about it.

I like my hard work to be supported because it makes me want to do more and continue to improve when it takes notice.

Yes I get that. But it got nothing to do with your job! Trust me young man if she is a supportive loving woman she will support your dreams whatever they are. Even when your dreams change she will still be there. To challenge you, encourage you, and support you when everything is too hard to bare.

You need a good connection with an intellectual woman that can stimulate your mind. She will care and love what you do because she loves you and care about what you care about. So she can understand when you talk about work challenges and she can contribute with a fresh prospective. If a woman is there because of the job title she will be gone when the job title is gone. Take it from me.

But I see your point but I'm really down on myself but I try to stay positive knowing things change and miracles can happen but the last time I had a partner was 2 years ago and I've been alone ever since.

Which in itself is stereotypical but I have a lot of mental disabilities that make it difficult to speak even in text so it's difficult for me to even get to the friend zone let alone into a relationship without distancing or being awkward. Went a bit off topic but it is what it is.

I don't know I also thought a reason would be that we work extremely hard just to accomplish our main goal and we don't give up until we do. I feel that women have this sense of "doing something with your life" attraction when it comes to a man who works for days on end just to do a simple task.
