I am talking to this lady online and I have invited her to my racial/cultural discussions group. She is an attractive older woman.
I thought it would be good to have more trump supporters in these groups and she seemed open to discussions. What startled me was that she dates "Black" guys. . . exclusively. I mean, I knew the common deal was that if "Black" people held certain political views, they were okay to date, but that's different.
She told me there are a lot of women like this and introduced me to several. These women are unique in that, a "White" guy. .. or any non-"Black" guy can be a perfect match in terms of political views, culture, temperament, etc. . . but they would still reject them. I of course, tried to drill down and get an understanding of this. I guess I kind of offended a couple of them. And they just sent me memes saying they don't have to explain themselves or their choices.
Which is kind of a liberal way of addressing things, if you ask me.
So I have to ask the trump supporting community that is GaG, are these women racist? Confused? Good Make America Great examples?
I mean, I have met "White" women who talk about a love for African-American Culture. Or a love for how African-American men are culturally. Like for instance, most "Black" guys are not very strict when it comes to traditional beauty standards. Like myself, I generally dated heavy set "Black" women pretty much my entire life. But I just thought they were really cute. But that is not what the women appear to be conveying in their choices. They don't seem to be really aware of African-American Culture. And I don't get it since most Trump supporters are pretty firm in their belief that even if "Black" folks are not inferior from a genetic/racial standpoint, they are from a cultural standpoint. And it is through the rejection of "Black" culture, they become better human beings. That's the ideology boiled down to its bare essence.
Is there a such thing as a "White" woman who supports Trump. . . but only dates "Black" guys?

I happens to be mixed (Spanish, Navajo, Jewish and Zacateco) and sometimes some people think I'm white (especially in the winter without a tan), but usually most people consider me a person of color. I'm mostly find attractive other people of color Black, Polynesian, Native American and Middle-Eastern guys. Nothing personal against white guys, I just don't find them attractive physically (it's just a preference) and most of the time they tend to be too conservative I'm not a Trump supporter through, I'm a social democrat/socialist

I've talked to a GAG 20 something years back who only dated black males. She sent me pics of them. I don't know her political views and she's long gone from the site. When I dug into this she informed me her family was mixed... she had 2 black brothers, she was raped by a black guy in HS. So was it perception and trauma that drivers her? Or her genetics or something else? Sociologists to figure out...
Of what I know about attraction, it is coming from sub conscious... based upon what we learned as children... at least as a component of attraction. I have seen "opposites attract" including light toned/blonde women to darker toned guys. That include white to chinese. e. g. some Asian girls prefer white males. There's the inverse as well... what if someone has a negative perception of a whole race? That was me... I didn't like German girls... due to negative perceptions formed early.
I know of several mixed couples but doubt I'll get opportunity to ask "how they were attracted".
I don't agree that Trump supporters view black people as lower or lesser, maybe your data shows that. I don't see it in people I talk with. Trump supporters support certain aspects of behavior and character imho. I could explain that more but it's off topic to the question. I don't think there is such a think as "black" culture same as there is no white culture. Some black people are high class and character, some are elsewhere, with variations. But we always try to group by something.. humans.. to be part of something. That be the concept in Christianity to form under a new "vine". Seems there should be better tools, like engineers use, to categorize people... because white/black is so quickly flawed.
This gets into the categorization of "black" guys. I grew up with some, at least around, they are a diverse group. As you've noted before, it gets into parents, culture, which is how that person was raised, in what environment, how did they perceive themselves. Ditto for females. That is what defines the underlying beliefs and would drive, at least somewhat... attractions. Some kids I trusted and respected, some were a basket case. Color not the differentiator... although we humans constantly try to use the simplest criteria to make determinations.

very hard to have this level of depth conversation in writing for every time I do, it goes bad. You ask good questions. Humans are subtle and sly in our thinking. I do it... I ignore race, but it can be the easiest thing to make a judgement as well. Were all complex in how we think... it's not logical.
I think race can be diminished to nothing when the cultures/characters of the people are aligned. In a scenario of judging people, race and sex are the easiest assumptions to jump to conclusions... when they have to be quick. Like safety is #1. e. g. I approached the homeless black man, I did not feel threatened and felt empathy for him, I helped him. Not long before, several young tall black males... you know the kind... they's "black brothers" with attitude. I turned and avoided them... Other black people Id be considerate to. To me... it's energy, not color. That energy is emotional, that's how I try to judge... but old programming can kick in fast.
I'm not sure they don't care about class. I think the assumption of "black" does not mean all. It could, not sure. I think it is emotional energies attracting... that is the inner child of the one drawn to the inner child of the other... color for these people is a strong driver (only these physical attributes), or not relevant.
Make some videos and interview them. I don't equate trump supporter and these women. I don't see the mapping. Trump married some far out East European chick.. ahemm... lady.
I'd have to talk to the women to try to get a bead on how this came about. The answer lies early in their childhood, I'll bet a bitcoin on that. I would not bet on... I suspect the answer is they for whatever reason established a positive perception of black men. For example, they cherished Bill D williams or flip wilson, or the Jackson 5. And some white man scared and hurt them... so they generalized this to all of that color. Humans try to simplify things, saves energy. Safety being #1. Sadly, it is flawed. People like us get stuck trying to figure out the complexity when I bet, their thinking is very simplistic. I like X because X is safe... based upon the limited data set of what I learned.
I had VERY positive impressions of colored people (how I saw them), when I was young. many positive exmaples. Until I met some my age up close... went down hill, then got confused. Can't judge by color, simple as that. Judge by "energy" better... color can be part of that, culture.
Mixed - to be clear there's variation, Im not responding to race but human need. I'd like to do away with race, I don't use it unless I perceive threat. It kicks in automatically then. or when trying to segment and understand... which to me can be "positive" race. That is grouping people to help determine how to improve the livelihood of specific sub groups.
But you are at GaG. And this forum has plenty of raciologists here. Even as they can't define what race is.
And of course I disagree with you. Race is social. It is just so weird to me to hear folks talk about race as some universal thing, when a simple google search shows you that it is not. I stayed in Russia for a while doing various projects. In Russia, I would hear routinely that marriages between Russians and non-Russians were "mixed" marriages. And the children were "mixed" children. Especially after Russia invaded Ukraine. Talking to Ukrainians and Russians was problematic, because of how they felt about the cultures, the conflicts and intergroup relations. But there, the concern was not with the American standard of race. They didn't know thing about African-American history. They didn't have a clue about the laws of racial segregation. They were concerned about their own history and their own cultures with respect to being Russians and Ukrainians.
I am not here to debunk your personal experience. I would rather not litigate that. But you are a participator here at GaG. You see that race is at the forefront of people's minds.
Well, I haven't spoken to them since I created this thread. I am pretty certain they would never appear on video. I invited them to my racial/cultural discussion group. No one has taken me up of course. I am not certain why they would do so. Obviously they have not though very deeply about race or culture. It is funny how racist imagery dominates their lives. But they claim they don't think about race.
But that's just it. I don't think you have had much exposure to this "lifestyle" for lack of a better term.

I honetly have not studied race, never thought about it. I have my personal experiences and perceptions. I'm really not focused on black but more human. How to improve the human condition which I put that through the lense of Christ/Christianity. even that doesn't work for we'll find peopl arguing about that. I explore broadly. Your example on Russia is fascinating, most people wouldn't' even know. I've only perspective that when I guessed a Ukranian was Russian, I got a few bad response. Those wounds are deep.
I might be willing to explore outside of this. Communication in general is difficult and I'm not sure how to bridge the gap between people. To me, it is best to do that on commonalities, but by understanding others experience and perceptions... with support. That is love and understanding. Anything else in my experience is just logical egos colliding or worse, emotional outbursts.

Well, that is pretty standard right? If you are "White" why would you have to think about it? Of course, I had to deal with it, because I had no idea about African-American History. I was using the same weird race neutral understanding that you are using. It could not help me understand that I was a member of culture. That's why I embarked on that journey of self-discovery. I started to study African-American history, tracing back cultural connections to Africa, etc. Then beyond that, I began to look at American Indian history, Latin American History, Asian-American History, etc.
It helped me to create a more well-rounded view and perspective on American society.
As for Russia, of course the wounds are deep. Russia is still invading Ukraine to this day. People are still dying. Have you seen the before and after photos of Donetsk? I have friends in Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Poland, etc. Everyone is concern. Some more than others.

I suppose. I was in America a few years ago. I was surprised how many black people and Hispanics support trump. I just assumed they wouldn't based on their race which was pretty racist of me.
