Depends. I don’t necessarily want to live off the grid, but I would like a certain level of self sufficiency. I just feel as though a lot of aspects of modern society are a scam. Like I want to have solar panels instead of paying a power bill. I want to have a little garden to have access to fresh fruits and veggies. I want to be self sufficient, but I’d also like to be able to be close enough to society that I can enjoy a normal social life. I wouldn’t want to live like in the photo. I don’t want to live in a dusty cabin in the middle of the woods. But I’d be happy in a little house maybe on the outskirts of town with a bit of land.

My boyfriend and I recently moved to a off grid house and it has certain disadvantages like ie the fire going out overnight and it's really cold in the morning and we have to collect water and stuff but it's also kinda fun and nice to do all our own stuff. These days when the sun only shines like 2 minutes it's kind of hard to keep power up but hey who needs power when you can sit at the roaring fire and look out on your own river and forest

Depends on his quality of life, but most likely, yeah.

My eventual dream is to have a Net Zero home capable of selling power back to the grid, but I want to live kinda in a somewhat central part of town or near some modern amenities.

For one I have a sensitive nose and taste buds so showers everyday twice a day like my husband only way. It’s a great idea in theory but there would be to many things I’m culturally accustomed to.
