Should I DTR or wait for him to?

so, I met this guy on a dating app and we have really been hitting it off and have gone on a date almost every weekend for the past 2 months. He seems to be really into me and wants to continue the relationship, but in the past I have felt this way and have been totally blindsided when they change their mind or I read the situation wrong

he does things that make me feel like he wants to be in a committed relationship like he just moved out of a house with a roommate to a house by himself so that we could have somewhere to spend time together. He treats me so well by taking me out to nice restaurants opening doors and even coming over during a snowstorm to help me set up furniture. he has even told his family about me, but because we both live several hours away from our families neither of us have met each other's family (with the exception of my sister who he was excited to meet when she came for a weekend visit).

I really enjoy the relationship we have now, but I struggle, because of my past, about not knowing exactly what we are. I know this is a problem and I need to come to terms with it. So I'm just wondering should I wait for him to bring up this conversation or bring it up myself and risk seeming overly clingy or needy.

Just relax and enjoy the moment. What you put out into the universe u will get back. You stress about him leaving... He will... if you worry about him cheating... he will. Enjoy you found a sweet sounding guy and take it slow stop trying to control everything. The world has a plan and honestly someone nervous and controlling will chase him away.

Quite frankly, he's the one who sounds clingy. When you say he bought the house... Was it expressly for you two or was it more like... I want to start my family and future and eventually my woman will come along type thing?

Probably a combination of the two and I think he may have felt a little embarrassed that he had a room mate, which was really no big deal for me. In his words he said "one of the main reasons I moved is so you could come over"

I understand you've been hurt in the past, unfortunately there's no way to know if he is genuine besides going through the steps. My motto has always been, go after what you want.
