I'm single at the moment but there are definitely subjects, area's or aspects I was smarter in then my exes such as literature, art/painting, history, writing, tech/computer related things, woodworking, among other things.

But there were things they were smarter or more knowledgeable in as well and that goes for anyone. Everyone is smarter or more knowledgeable in at least one area then someone else. There is always gonna be someone smarter then you and someone dumber then you in the world.

Option 5: my skills lie in vastly different areas than those of my partner. She is a medical doctor, something I would never have either the patience or stomach for. That doesn't make her more intelligent, just differently trained.

My degree is in strategic management. I hate the subject but I'm damn good at it. It doesn't mean that I'm more intelligent than her.

I was offered membership of Mensa as a teenager. My school pushed us all to take IQ tests. I declined the membership because I believe EQ is more vital to succeed in life than IQ.

Marish, Why do you believe that a guy who is smarter than you does not exist? Also, what is SO important about finding someone smarter than you? Wouldn’t you prefer a partner who complimented your weaknesses with his strengths? You know in the same way that you compliment HIS weaknesses with YOUR strengths! no, I'm an idiot compared to my gfs. One is a physics educator who can do calculus in her head & also a self-taught animator & the other is a super talented musician, artist, & witty in like a very funny literary way.
