What do you think of guys who carry a pepper spray on a date?

The only thing I would assume is that the guy has been attacked before. But to me it’s not a bad thing if I see a guy carrying a pepper spray. I carry a taser with me when I go out at night but wouldn’t reveal that to anyone I am on a date with.
