*****where is southeast asia? = southeast asia IS NOT INDIAN, NOT chinese/korean/Japanese. Southeast asia is vietnam, myanmar, thailand, indonesia, phillipines, malaysia, so on.. (Asian tropical countries) I've heard it all the time : southeast Asian guys' number one choice has always been caucasian/white girls and number two choice is korean/Japanese girls. For some, arab girls are either first or second option (applied to indonesian , bruneian and malaysian). They only go to southeast Asian women when they realize they couldn't reach any of their choices. What are the faults of southeast Asian women? Can you tell me so that we can improve? -------- And people on the internet (International stage) seem to agree that southeast Asian women are among the ugliest. They say, southeast Asian women are below average when compared to women from other parts of the world. And they say that 'southeast Asian women are attempting to be mail-order brides for money' or 'less fortunate than other women' and 'only can attract old unfortunate below average white dudes for money cause he can't get white girls back at home' or 'promiscuous' or 'thai lady boy' or with 'ugly nose' or 'extremely cheap and easy to get by'. And worse, I am a girl who's very easy to fall in love, so I feel that some of these name-calling are accurate for me. Ever heard of those guys who like southeast asiam women? What are they called? Yellow fever. And it's bad in western society. Because I think that it's "illogical" that southeast Asian women are loved. I am so sick of this! Southeast Asian women deserve to have clean reputation and be loved. ----------- Forget about that, some don't even know where southeast asia is. Thank you for listening to my rant.

I've never cared where the women I date come from, only where we're going. If they aren't attractive, they aren't attractive. That has nothing to do with their "home country". A lot of times it has had nothing to do with their looks.

I've been with women who weren't especially attractive to me physically. They make me feel happy though, which is far more important. It may be tough to not worry about how other people may generalize you, your country, and your culture as far as sex and dating go, but it's also something you can't change. That's their problem.

The yellow fever part, yeah, I get that with my wife, it's inaccurate, but I know it's an assumption made, and voiced sometimes. Even with friends when there's a drink too many. Tune that crap out. Find someone who makes you happy, and that you want to make happy. If you look at it from a racial perspective, inclusively, exclusively, whatever, you're limiting your options and future.

The only time I've worried about my wife being Asian was after COVID hit out of concern for her safety. Other than that her appearance may be different from most other women I've dated, her background, and her culture. None of it matters though. Every day that we're together I feel content, this is a life I want, and my desire is to make her and our children happy and secure moving forwards into the future.

You can find love, just don't listen to the internet on what it's supposed to be like. Most of those voices are simply bitter and jealous. Hate to say it, but right now you're a bitter voice promoting the stereotype you're upset about.

Cool off, take a step back, and try approaching with a new perspective. Does that sound like something you could do?

I don't believe they are. First off, let's tackle head on the stereotype you bring up: White men who can't do well at home travelling to Southeast Asia where with their money they can attract partners.

it's true. However notice this: most of the planet is poor enough relative to Western Europe and North America that men from those areas could pursue this strategy. The reason Southeast Asia has this reputation is that among all the developing nations, southeast Asian women are considered among the most desirable.

as for south East Asian women who are actually in the west? I know several. Most are married to men from their own community. I know two fairly well who are married to white men. Both cases their husbands are, no exaggeration, tall, above average looking, popular, athletic and well off. These women weren't last choices they are both high status and considered attractive.

It sounds like the only men complaining about south East Asian women are south East Asian men who probably have white fever and consider some foreign women exotic.

There were no such thing that South East Asia (SEA) women are not favourable or looked down upon.

Just because you had failed in your precious relation with Caucasian man that does not mean SEA women are looked down upon. Every person had their own preference.

There were even SEA man who are married with Caucasian, African, etc. Does that make them looked down? Of coz not. Its how relation work. Some might go further some might not.

Also the Yellow Peril only applied to East Asian since SEA are actually considered as BROWN and depending on you geographical location like Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei they do not have any resemblance of so called ‘Yellow’ people.

Singapore and Vietnam might be consider since their population are mostly of Chinese descendant while other countries like Thailand and Myanmar are a mixture of face but more to the SEA.

Timor Leste are out of the question since their facial feature are way to different to be called Yellow Peril.

You're confused.

No one talks about SouthEast much in the West as Thai, Malay, Tagalog etc, and not English are the dominant languages in the region.

Thus they rely on tropes and what little comes across in English, instead of facts, to form their opinions.

Just as you think the West as a whole looks down upon SouthEast women and thinks them "Indian" (good grief, why would anyone want to be linked to Indians) because of what little you've seen of the West.

As the old joke goes "why are Southeast women the best? Because they love to Bangkok and Phuket!"

I was messing around on OkCupid and just about ALL of my matches are from that exact country, and they looked pretty good. I don't know where this is coming from if it's true. Maybe because southeast Asian women are more modest and traditional when I was on OkCupid I've noticed that NONE of these southeast Asian women have pictures of them taking ass shots and cutting out the top of their head to show their cleavage and they aren't on there looking for hookups. To be completely honest, I like southeast Asian women more than American women.

I think this is projection. Southeast Asian girls have fancied foreigners for a long time. But men are naturally more racist than women, and definitely wouldn't naturally be interested in foreign women more than their own.
What happened is that you isolated and offended southeast Asian men over decades of you and your southeast Asian sisters dating preferences.
You triggered their FOMO, the 'Fear of missing out' on dating a foreigner. If you're genuinely kind to a southeast Asian man, im sure he will give you priority. its in his nature to do so. Especially if its a richer guy, statistically they are loyal to their race.
