Was it the person? Place? The thought behind it?
Tell me your experience and why it was the best date you have ever been on!
We took a bus to a trail, a really hard trail that involved rock climbing and crossing a river on a log, about 20ft over the rapids! Then at the end there is a pond with a beautiful waterfall were we swam, then we walked back to the golf course at the entrance of the trail and had a picnic with wine on the 18th hole while the sun set, then we went into the town and there just so happened to be a metal band playing at a local pub, this part was unplanned and just the icing on the cake as I am a metalhead. Everything was perfect. Even though on the way to the trail, it was cold windy and overcast, but I swear as soon as we got off the bus the clouds parted and it became hot and sunny, so perfect!
The only thing this question implys is that you want to read a romantic story. I dont understand what values you have to gain by fantasizing about my personal experience. We dont even know each other so why compare experiences? It only makes you crave or detest someone else's experience.
This one time a guy picked me up. Let me choose the restaurant and we shared a meal. Sharing a meal is something my mom taught us- (pre covid lol) means that you enjoy things more while sharing. I offered to split the bill later as I choose the location but he insisted on paying for dinner and said that I could pay for the dessert. I felt like he just wanted to buy more time with me and I was enjoying the date so we went to a frozen yogurt shop. We laughed, played a car game on my way back home as he drove me home and after he texted me saying he enjoyed it and that we definitely need to go on a second. 3 days later I saw him again. Lol. It was simple, nothing fancy but its so memorable.
I just miss back in early days of my relationship with my boyfriend before covid when we'd meet in the city at night and go out for dinner and drinks. They were the best nights ever

My future wife and I were just starting to date. She lived in another state so we never really had spent much time together.
I got us tickets to see Gordon Lightfoot in an outdoor amphitheater. It was a two hour drive so we got some time to talk. The concert was great. We had a picnic lunch and it was a beautiful day.
It had to be a hike I went on, on Mother's Day. It was one of the few actual dates I've been on with my girlfriend without the children tagging along. Even though we've been friends for so long, from the conversations together to seeing her becoming more of her old self again. It was a bunch of fun. I think one of the crowning moments had to be afterwards, when I posted the photos on Facebook of the hike and my grandma mentioning how happy I looked.
The person! The now wife. We both felt good, young in love and shy, both melt for each other, italianrestaurant, red wine, many dates were magical. What about you?

They seemed good at the time, but in retrospect, they were all bad.
