What was the best date you've ever been on and where did you go?

Got talking to a single mum, she didn't get much time to herself. We got a Saturday when she was kid free, met up for coffee. Talked till the place closed, and I suggested we could go watch a film I knew she wanted to see but wouldn't get a chance to (don't generally like cinema's on first date, but it worked). After the movie we went for dinner, then I dropped her home. She invited me in for a cup of tea, we kept talking till midnight when i left. What could have been a 1hr date turned into a 10hr date and we were still talking away.
It carried on for another month but didn't work out. TBH that was probably for the best

The best 2 dates I was ever on were the evening of Monday 20 AUG 1990 and then 2 nights later.
At the end of the first one, I knew I was in love with the girl.
The second date, I confessed it and we became a couple.
About 5-6 weeks later, I knew that I wanted to marry her.

Sadly, it didn't quite last 17 months although for the next 19 months, we had _something_.

But, I haven't seen her in 31 years nor heard her voice in 27. It still hurts every single day. I will die not feeling whole because of that.

He drove me to the mountain then we hiked, we spent a lot of time chilling with deer, foxes, we even saw a family of boars, we stargazed at night while we sat at the park which is full of creepy wooden sculptures which is right outside an abandoned sanatorium which is rumored to he haunted. The park which is outside is called "The Park of Souls."
That was actually amongst my favorite dates, it was quite memorable. We even tried to get inside the abandoned sanatorium but we realized that it was patrolled after hearing dogs and a police car from a far.

he came all the way out to Charleston WV to see me and i finally decided to go out with him after making him wait a year. It was so boring there we went back to Nashville to have our date, we had late supper in the private kitchen at Drusie & Darr because i didn't want our first date to be at my house, but then we went back to my house after anyway and i didn't make him wait anymore 👀

The best date was with my ex on Valentine’s Day in 2022. We spent time at her house with her family. She and I went to a charity breakfast, I gave her some pink roses and a Valentine’s ring. Then we went back to her house and we watched The Money Pit. Then we went barefoot in the kitchen to cook dinner. She helped me make my special spaghetti and I helped her make her special lavender cupcakes. We danced and sang together. We ate by candlelight and had a very romantic conversation. After dinner, she and I sang and danced some more. Then, I made popcorn and we watched Nine Months. After the movie, we had a very long and romantic goodnight kiss.

Probably the first date with my last girlfriend. It was a double date to this Coffee shop in the city. The first little bit she was a little anxious. But by the time we got to ordering, we were connecting really well. We stayed the evening together just the two of us and had a better time in private :)

What a great question! Probably when I took a girl from The Netherlands to Disneyland when I was 20. She was so awestruck by the place and it was nice to enjoy it anew through her eyes as I had gotten pretty jaded to the experience. We kept in contact for a few years after she went home, till she got engaged.

It was with my wife. We were on the coast of Maine at a restaurant eating fresh prepared seafood, drinking white wine and staying at the hotel across the street. We went dancing afterwards at a place overlooking the ocean and I remember holding her in my arms and not wanting to be anywhere else in the world.

Soon after my husband (then boyfriend) got his Pilot's license, he flew me from Long Beach (California, USA) to Catalina Island (California, USA).

He let me briefly fly the li'l airplane, too!

That, alone, was thrilling!

He arranged so many adventurous & romantic activities for both of us to enjoy.

A winter horse drawn sleigh ride at Salzburg was really good, dead romantic apart from one of the horses had wind we think lol.
Had a medieval theme night at a castle, all dressed up in medieval clothing, was fun and interesting, good laugh.
A friend sorted out a punting picnic on the river Camb in Cambridge.
Had a visit to the Globe in London, a tour and also a Shakespeare play followed by a lovely meal at Tattu (Japanese, Asian ).

Went to a comic cafe, we played chess while talking about crafts and our passions. Went from there to a chinese restaurant for some amazing food.
