Why do partners end up looking alike?

Dosen't happen always.
But what i feel that it could be is..
I have heard that it is said that guys are generally attracted towards those women who are similar (physically or personality wise ore nature wise) to their mothers since they tend to feel more comfortable n stuff with them. N similar for females.
N ofc we have our parents genes so that's where the similarities come. So maybe this could be a reason.
Like tbh i am very similar to my guy's mom in many ways and he feels like home with me. N my guy is similar to my dad in terms of habits n personality but not looks.
On a totally unrelated matter here's a quote from Vanity Fair:
"In conversation with The Hollywood Reporter’s Scott Feinberg, who alluded to Cumberbatch’s new legions of fans, the actor was quick to brush off his new presence on certain “hottie lists.” With a “weird face” he describes as “something between an otter and something people find vaguely attractive,” Cumberbatch figured he was in for a career in period films—“I’ve got a long neck, a long face. That’s usually period. That’s usually the result of some kind of inbreeding.”"

I'd say it would depend on a case by case basis, but when you spend much time with a person, you start to become similar.
Hogwash! The only way you look similar after time is if you had similar traits to begin with. The rest is in your head :)
I feel like that’s only with white couples. Like for example, down bellow all of them are couples but they look very sweet home Alabama-ish
This is from the siblings or dating page on ig and all of them are dating but they all look like they could be related?

Maybe diet and lifestyle and possibly hormones too but not sure, I read obesity is contagious so low BMI might also be contagious since BMI is influenced by gut bacteria which is contagious in cohabiting and coexisting people.
hahaha, but they don't! (I mean that freaky-ass couple does). This is not a thing that happens in life. This is silly. 🙂
That seems to happen in some cases wouldn't say all cases tho... As to why🤷🏼♀️
Lmao i noticed that too 😂 I often go for guys with similar smiles and skintones similar to myself. Maybe i just love myself too much 😂 as a kid i was obsessed with my childhood crush because we had the same teeth 🤣 Another crush and i had similar hands/fingers... Another and i had similar hairlines 😂 Another had similar eyebrows... haha i be lookin for weird shit to twin with haha
Si basically you would like to f** yourself 🤣🤣🤣😅
@Aakash_Hangargi the male equivalent
🤓🤓🤓🤓👍👍👍👍
The majority of people on Earth are either attracted to opposite sex counterparts of themselves, or an unrelated counterpart of their mothers or fathers. I would NEVER be into anyone who looked like my ugly-ass or my ugly-ass "family" of black hillbillies.
Because they are most likely scum sucking, incest loving brothers and sisters who are always arguing off camera and fighting to see who gets to be on top.
Medically, as you and your partner are always together, and very active sexually, DNA is transferred between you; over time your features begin to match because of the swapping. If you do a DNA check of a woman, you will find in her body a lot of male DNA from her partner; it stays with her forever; and every time you have a new sexual relationship, that persons DNA is added to yours.
@exitseven I read about this in a peer reviewed article.
Some things are strange and hard to understand. My wife and I have been together for a long time. We tend to think a lot alike; when we see a situation we usually have similar views about it.
We have even developed a similar medical condition. We both have pacemakers for the same medical condition. The strange part about it is that, as far as we know, there is no history of the condition in either of our families.
One possibility is they are in fact adopted siblings who later found each other. Perhaps that is the definition of a 'happily ever after'.
The other is that your frequent emotions exercise certain muscles on your face more than others - so when you have an emotional match, you enjoy the same feelings (and dislike the same ones/have the same reactions) - so you end up looking similar.
they do? i don't have that problem lmao. my boyfriend is filipino and i'm really white.
but yeah it is kinda creepy when i see a couple and they look like siblings...
i guess it's the same for best friends, they look alike too in certain cases
I dont know, i'll take a guess. They start to pick up similar habits/routines from the other, so they'd start to dress similar, and mirror each others facial expressions, etc. It's like you become what you're surrounded by and they're always in sight and you think about them a lot, so you start to subconsciously copy them.
It also happens with friends. When you spend lots of time with the same person you tend to start talking like them and do the same things as they do. Some people are more prone to that than others.
There's a book called "your body cries for water". It basically means that semen has over a hundred chemicals in it half of which we don't know what they do I think this is one of those chemicals that you're transferring your DNA it to her so she can look like you I I don't know that's a bit of a stretch. I know I know even Zuckerberg is looking at me funny
Just think, a guy could drink slow acting poison and the girl who gave him head afterwards would die too if that was the case.
@Daniela1982 Poison affects the digestive system first, then it’s dissolved into the blood, but it doesn’t even go anywhere near the semen lol
@OneManOnly01 Then why does semen taste like things a guy has eaten?
@Daniela1982 Lol heard this the first time😅😂
It depends on the Affinity of the chemicals
See when people start to spend more & more time together they start to mirror each others expressions. So it's not that their face that changes it's actually how they show their emotions i. e. expressions
Not all of them do, I look nothing like my wife. Yet I know what you mean, some people do start to look alike and maybe that is why they got together in the first place... they married themselves but the other gender.
There's real biological science behind this actually. People even tend to hold their facial muscles similarly to their long term partners, it's cool and kinda creepy lol.
They was looking for someone similar to begin with.

We imitate the expressions of the person we love and spend the most time with. And for most cases, couple will even think alike. I think that’s what soul mates are about
I read somewhere that people tend to be attracted and settle down with someone that looks familiar to either their family or them.
If partners are happy, they'll develop laugh lines together. If partners are miserable, they age each other.
How's this a rekevent answer just curious
