Why do people in their mid to late 30s tend to have no dating lives?

It has come to my attention that many men / women in their mid to late 30s tend to have no dating lives or its extremely hard for them to meet people. Many people claim that its this way only for women, but apparently it seems to be the same case for men too.

All of them tell me that their dating prime was in their 20s then things just stopped for them by the time they hit their mid 30s. By the time they hit late 30s, overwhelming majority of them just sit at home and complain about how hard it is to find a date.

no idea, think it's harder forsome than others. I think finding those social connections, availability and such more difficult as some people are just starting dating and others are coming off the divorces w/ kids and complications. so gotta navigate and put yourself out there more. Seems like picks up in 40's as their lives get cleaned up. I've seen women get married in their 40's 50's for first time.

Maybe because most in that age range are married or with someone so the few that didn’t find anyone are stuck until later years

I've seen opposite.
People are either married or actively dating or divorced and actively dating full force.
If they don't have dating lives I assume it's because they don't want one.

Overwhelming majority of them do not have a dating life. And if they do get a date, its extremely hard for them to get one. I know tons of older folks in their mid to late 30s who tell me that the last time they dated was around early 30s

Just because someone isn't dating doesn't mean "they can't get one". The females I know date all the time, but just haven't found the right one to settle down with. People have different priorities, like being single, and may have bad history.

Probably depends on who you surround yourself with because the majority of single women I interact with 30+ actively date.

Most get set in their ways by that age. Many have children... many have given up. You can only get rejected so many times without saying FUCK IT. I am done!

Definition of Marriage: Lose half.
Definition of 30: Quit losing money.

Above is a joke, just sounds funny. Might have some truth to it. But...

Why do maybe some men? complain about being single? It's not fun I'd think in your 30s. You want a companion. You want a family. Your friends around you started families. It's just you. Also its time to stop losing money on dates. It would be insanity to spend money all your life on new people?

We need to save for retirement, stop losing money, and start complaining. If you didn't complain about being single, then there wouldn't be a problem to solve. I don't know, just being silly again!

I'm curious to know peoples' responses to this question. I asked a similar question because I know a 30's something woman at work, who I really like. She hasn't dated since her 20's. She'll hang out with friends on occasion, but otherwise keeps to herself and even admits to having no dating life. Which is bizarre because she's gorgeous.

You must only talk to beta loser men. Im 34 and its the best and easiest dating has ever been for me. Its super easy and i feel im the most desirable I've ever been in my life to women... and I've always done better than most so thats saying something.

I am 43. I have never dated and never really complained about the difficulties of dating. For me, I'd rather use the time, effort, and resources men routinely spend dating these days to dig a grave for myself and erect my tombstone.
