Okay so I have quite a bit of experience with guys (tinder hookups) but I haven’t really spent any time with a guy outside of this. I’ve recently found out that one of my friends/neighbours is interested in me. We hung out the other night and even kissed but I found it all very awkward even though we talked the whole time. I’m just really not sure how to get past the awkwardness so I can see if this is potentially something I want to pursue as it is a bit of a sticky situation. I’m concerned that if I move to quickly or it doesn’t work that things will get awkward, again he is in the friend group and moved in up the road the other day. I’m super embarrassed that I can have so much yet so little experience with men.

I can tell you right now, you have slept with too many people. You are not going to be capable of pair bonding, the more people you sleep with, the lower your value to a man that may want to settle down. If you keep hooking up you will hit your 30s and not be married, not be able to compete with younger women, and not be able to pair bond with your potential partner or your children. We are not biologically wired as women to be able to sleep with many men. Keep your body count less than 5 in your lifetime. Otherwise you are just a sex object to men, and will be nothing but a booty call the rest of your existence.

It's only awkward because you're not used to it yet. Just treat it like hanging out with a friend, but with making out and stuff. Just do stuff you both enjoy, cuddle & binge a series, sex stuff isn't a manditory go to in a relationship until you both are comfortable to go there. Do small gestures to show him you care about him.
People are too hung up on sex nowadays that they don't realize how to have a healthy relationship without stress.

I’m having trouble opening up, he’s abit of an awkward person and I’m very empathetic so I tend to go off the other person’s vibes. I just end up being awkward myself which I find uncomfortable because I’m normally a very confident person. all my friends are aware that I only hook up with people and I don’t date them but they don’t know that it’s because relationships are outside my comfort zone. I don’t want to look like an idiot for being able to sleep with a complete stranger but struggle to even kiss someone I know.

It's okay to be emotionally inexperienced, even if you're physically experienced. Just go with the flow and enjoy the exploratory stage of a relationship while you can.

I never said I value hookups more, I just said I have experience in them. The whole point I’m getting at is that I’m emotionally awkward and was seeking help to get past this for a potential relationship. Just because I’m sexually confident doesn’t mean i don’t crave a serious relationship with someone. And I’d also like to point out that “our” culture has always highly valued hookups, it’s just really stigmatised at the moment.

I really don’t understand why you seem pressed about this, there’s honestly no need to come at me like this when I was genuinely asking for advice. It honestly shouldn’t matter wether I’ve slept with 5 or 500 men, at the end of the day it’s not your business what I do with my body same as it’s not mine to know what you do with yours. I judge people as individuals and for the person they truly are not how many times they’ve dropped their pants. Again I was asking for advice on an emotional level not to be harassed for something that I like every other being biologically enjoys.
