Men like you needed to stay single and away from women. You're not joking the phone her that you are calling her that. They are more than likely seeing each other. She was just messing around with you but she really wanted the other guy. He was already pursuing her but now he realizes that you and her will messing around. Of course he likes it and it's already territorial around her. He wouldn't be getting so upset if he didn't. They're not exclusive. But they are seeing each other, and from what that sounds like they may become exclusive.
