What do you call the person who you are talking too during the talking stage? Friends?

Yeah definitely “friend”. I’m seeing someone we’re pretty much dating but I still introduce him as a “friend” simply because we haven’t made it official. So unless you or him explicitly said that you guys are a thing then he’s just a friend for now

I'd call them by their name? Unless they're some kind of aristocracy then I'd use the appropriate title.

Yeah, friends, I can't think on a proper title in English. In Spanish there are different names, like quedante or ligue hahah
