When I was that age, it wasn't so much actively avoiding as not noticing who was interested. As I wasn't interested in finding a partner, I wasn't building more than an acquaintanceship with the girls I was meeting, and never noticed the subtle hints of interest (since no one ever came out to directly say they liked me).

Its because of two things. 1. The guy is inexperienced or shy and just being awkward. Or 2. You going way tf out of your lane because you're inexperienced and dont know what your doing, ie you the chubby weird girl going for the hottest guys and then wondering why they dont want you.

Trust me if you push yourself on a man you are going to get dumped or cheated on in short order so dont bother, move on to someone else of they dont like you. If its because they are awkward or shy, you're there to give them experience, so dont expect them to have shit figured out.
