Why would my friend settle down and with a chubby girl when he could sleep with any woman he wants?

I have a friend of almost 14 years that has slept with many different women in his lifetime getting to the point where he would even pull multiple women in a day. I was really disappointed to hear that he was settling down with a chubby white girl I knew in high school. He's easily slept with over 150 different women going on trips to different countries and meeting women. Is there something wrong with him or what?
