Why did my ex say his whole body felt tingly when I told him how I felt during our relationship?

My ex randomly asked me how I truly felt about our relationship before I’m we broke up ans I told him I felt I cared for and unwanted bc he would make mean rude comments about my body and my skin ans my nose and my hair and say it was a joke and always talk behind my back to his family and let his sister attack me a lot and we talked for an hour and a half I asked him how he felt about our convo and he said he felt tingly why did he say that what does it mean does it mean he feels bad for failing to realize he was truly mentally and emotionally and verbally abusive to me?

He probably didn’t realize how he made you feel at the time and is trying to reflect how on he made you feel. Probably is trying to figure out what he needs to change in himself to become an overall better partner in the future.
