Guys, Why is my ex boyfriend uncomfortable around me?

My ex and I dated for 3 years and then he dumped me 6 months ago because he doesn't love me anymore. But he insisted we'd stay "friends" and he insisted I keep the keys to his place to use his hot tub.

Occasionally I use the hot tub and he's been fine with it, but I have noticed he doesn't even look at my direction whenever I visit. I called him today to use the hot tub and I was informed by him to give him 30 minutes for him to leave his place while I was using the hot tub.

I asked why? He said that he was a) uncomfortable around me and that he was b) uncomfortable sitting in his house knowing I was using his hot tub.

Again, I asked why? He said he didn't want to talk about it. So I told him that I saw no sense visiting him and using his hot tub if that made him so uncomfortable and that he was welcome to call me when he started feeling comfortable again. Any thoughts as to what is going on here? If he doesn't love me, why so uncomfortable?

Should I just let him be for a while so that he can figure things out by himself?

Some people can do the cordial ex things other can not. I think you should give him the keys back and tell him you are feeling uncomfortable too and you will find another hot tub to use.
