When I was younger in school I thought the nerdy girls were a lot of fun and interesting - and they can be just as attractive as any other girl. As an adult, I think women who are smart and into technology or science or whatever, I think they are awesome. My partner is like that. She has a very complicated job and she is very intellectual. She is very smart. But I like that, I like being around intelligent people and I love her interests and her sharp mind. I have some similar interests so its a great match for me. Some guys feel threatened by women who are really smart and into more intellectual interests. But I always found those kind of women to be the most fun and interesting to talk to. If you are a "geek", just be yourself, you will find guys who will actually enjoy that. Be yourself and don't listen to any haters.

But if we share an enthusiasm for specific shows, games, ways of thinking about things, it can be good common ground to relate and bond over.

Not really my thing. If she has some nerdy or geeky interests, or excels academically, no problem. But if her whole life revolves around books, or computers, or video games, or especially dry subjects like math, then we're incompatible. My idea of fun is more like going skydiving or mountain climbing together than going to a Star Wars or anime convention together.

That said, if we're going nerdy, then I'm more into Star Trek like TNG (not this new Picard/Discovery shit) over Star Wars. I can indulge in nerdy stuff but my idea of nerdy fun is more like talking about how Worf is such a badass than the schematics of the warp drive.
