I dated a guy a month ago we went on four dates. We would call each other for hours every night. We were going to go to an amusement park but he slept late and didn’t show up. He said we could go this winter instead since our tickets don’t expire til next year. He told me he wanted me to be his girlfriend in the future. He hasn’t texted me for two weeks because he said he needs space because of my anxiety and neediness. I know he loved me though but I think we both need to work on ourselves. Should I wait for him?

Definitely don’t wait. No need to rush into anything, but if someone else catches your eye you shouldn’t feel any obligation to stop yourself from flirting. Two weeks is long enough where he should have at least texted you to let you know he still thinks of you but is super busy or something like that. Complete no contact should never be for more than two weeks. If he wants you to be his girlfriend he should be willing to show it in some way. Maybe he does need time to himself, but if he texts you back at this point, you should let him know that you can’t have this be a reoccurring thing if he wants to be your boyfriend. He can take a few days to get his head straight whenever he needs to, but 2 weeks is way too long without even a text.
