It seems simple but allow me to complicate it š. So say youāre meeting someone for the first time or discussing things on that first date. I know we think of looking for someone āperfectāor someone better than our ex based on looks or something you can show off on social media, etc.
How do you define your ideal future boyfriend/ girlfriend? What parameters do you set and what do you keep an eye out for?
I'm not going to lie I had to delete and rewrite this. It's hard for me to answer this. Because we don't come as simple easy readable people. We may know all the things listed but life can often present grey areas.
A future partner is one that has developed a level of self awareness. One that considers retrospective, introspection and extropection. I truly believe its the only way we are able to have the kind of relationships that are fulfilling. Obviously they have to have other qualities too. But I truly believe a partner that is doing those things as am I will be looking towards self improvement, and living in a way that benefits everyone.
In life I've learned storms, and money come and go. But if the foundations are strong with can't with stand anything.
For me itās not been about perfect. Itās always just been this feeling I get when I first meet the guy. This feeling of wow he seems so familiar and I feel so safe with him. Like Iāve known him for a long time. Like heās family. Straight from the get go.
I believe itās because I clicked with my exes on a soul level. I never had a superficial relationship. And I know for a fact they loved me as I was in love with them. But they made poor decisions and I donāt want to live with that.
She has to be kind, hard working. I don't want my future girl to judge others especially me, she must be smart I ain't requiring a super genius but I don't want her to be a dimwit either. Simple - you feel a deep sense of existential relief. Like, finally, a person who gets you - and who you get. You are seen - and you see them. A sense of ease, safety, and genuine honour exists between you effortlessly.
This is different to someone who you may just be super attracted to. It's soul-deep.
