Dating apps vs in person?

I would prefer to meet someone in person and build a relationship that way. I don’t know exactly how to defend it but in my view it’s just more ‘romantic’ in a sense (I’m also more of a face to face person). Just wanted to see what other people’s thoughts on dating apps are.

Do you realize that with online dating sites, you only meet online and exchange a few PMs? You then schedule a time to meet in person, face-to-face, and it becomes just like traditional dating.

Yeah that’s pretty well known, the point is tho to me it doesn’t feel as ‘romantic’ like I said, or as spontaneous. The feeling of meeting someone randomly in person originally just sounds and feels better for me personally, as I would believe it does many others.

For me, what is romantic is meeting someone who is a really good match for me and I would have never met my current girlfriend if we weren't both online.

Each to there own I guess, I just would prefer having met that person by luck/chance/coincidence, to me its just more satisfying, kind of like in movies, there's naivety there yes but its how I feel.

I think there is much more selection online because the numbers are much higher. But, they are usually not nearby.
