Have men always preferred older women?

It’s insane. Now I’m in my mid 30s I have a queue of twenty something year old guys chasing after me! I didn’t realise this was such a thing. I have more young guys chasing me now than I did when I was in my 20s. Was not expecting this at all but I guess the best thing to do is embrace and enjoy. Don’t think I’d ever go out with a guy my age again!

I did. It's problematic. I would not recommend it. Let me tell you why. My grandma was 29, my gandpa was 21. Grandma was a predator with zero self esteem. She baby trapped my grandpa with my dad. Grandpa ran for his life. Grandma prevented my dad and me and my brother from seeing my grandpa. All three of the guys in muy family had no male figure in the family. My dad had no idea what was going on. He let me run off with a 26 year old woman when I was 18. Why not? His mom, the matriarch, the gynocrat, did it. I was smart enough to get out. She was actually gross. 4 years away from the wall when I was 18. Insanity. Later, my girlfriend was 1 year older. Then another girlfriend 1 year older. Both disasters. I just do not recommend it. Now that I am older. Holy freaking hell. The last thing I'd ever do would be to recommend any guy get with an older woman. Just don't do it. If you hate this comment , good. I hope you go out and get with an old lady who falls apart and treats you like a gofer F boy. Sounds like a wonderful life. OK. If you're a woman date older guys. Leave the young guys alone. The experiment was forced on my family by an entitled grandmother and it was nothing but multi generational trauma. OK. There you go. Bye.

We all have different preferences. I was married until my early 40’s. I didn’t date for 4 years, yet had many young men after me. More young than my own age. I have no idea why, but it did boost my confidence.
I ended up dating someone 15 years younger for nearly 3 years. (Split 3 weeks ago).
Contrary to the ridiculous comments I’m reading, I’m not easy, I don’t pretend to be young and I don’t need a younger partner to feel young.
I’m fit, healthy and look younger than my years. I met my ex’s friend last week, and he thought I was about 35 lol. He was shocked to find out my age.
Enjoy things. It won’t ‘wear off’ as someone has said.

No, I think its a personal choice. Some men prefer older women while others prefer younger. Maybe some guys just want to "experiment" with an older woman, maybe its the thrill? Or its just that older women are much more experienced in bed and dont play stupid mind games

I have read this somewhere. My words but not my idea, concept, thoughts, whatever.

Women are more attractive in their 30s, especially around 32 to 38 and then again around 42 to something, I do not remember. They are also biologically more sexually active in the given ages range, as opposed to guys who are typically more biologically sexually active in their 20s and a bit above. Natural turn on I am saying.

Hence, I think[ me saying this], that women are more attractive than they were in their after 20s. The depth in personality, the cultured behavior, the way of thinking, I think everything changes, as per experience, on general level.

My take on your main question is, if men would not have found older women attractive, then a dedicated sections towards older women would not be existing on porn sites. I think that is more than enough validation required.

Sorry, I seemed too much focused on things related to sexual intercourse, but that is one of the main components about this whole attraction thing.

Please give me your feedback on my answer. Where I was wrong, where I was right, so that I am able to understand this at a more deeper level.

I dated a 36 year old when I was 19. I wanted a lover, mentor, and a mother figure that I never had. I had lots of mommy issues, I will freely admit that. As I got older all's I want is a nurturer regardless of age. I need someone who can be delicate and gentle. I'd be willing to go as high as mid 40's maybe. Depending on the woman. Visually I love younger women, obviously. But mentally and emotionally a lot of times I prefer an older woman. Personality r Ally is the most important aspect of a human being. Love around them enough vand you'll know looks alone is just asking for absolute misery and you can compromise on looks because once you are in love that person becomes absolutely gorgeous. It’ll pass when your in your late 40’s or 50’s but I’d enjoy the attention while it’s there. I think women today are lucky because the cougar or mature woman sexual preference has saturated culture and made it a great time for women who are out of their twenties to really explore a culturally accepted sexual empowerment. For instance Jennifer Lopez is 50 and still considered a sexual icon, in her 50’s! I mean it’s crazy but American culture has given a lot of power to women who at other times in history would never have been empowered like this. 55 used to be the retirement age where people were considered over the hill. So enjoy attention and thank whoever put the thought in men’s minds that women are pretty sexy well after their twenties, because for a long time that was the norm.

Not always, I think most of men would prefer their age or younger. The common stereotype is that women who are older are “damaged” or “useless” which isn’t accurate. It depends on the guy to be open to a woman older than them, especially if they’re mature and confident. I’m dating a woman who is older than me by a few years and she’s great and been together for a year.
