Honestly, for religious reasons I’d prefer it if a guy is a virgin, like I’m saving myself until marriage for religious reasons so I expect him to do the same thing.

That being said, a guy not being a virgin isn’t always a dealbreaker for me. Like let’s say he converted to my faith yet had sex outside of marriage before he converted, or he’s divorced but had sex with his ex-wife, or he had sex outside of marriage but realized the wrong (speaking from a religious perspective here) and learned from his mistakes, then him not being a virgin is not a dealbreaker for me.

What would be a dealbreaker is if he’s a guy who just doesn’t care about the religious ruling and goes around having sex outside of marriage- and what makes it an even bigger dealbreaker is if he doesn’t follow that rule himself, but expects women to follow that rule- like that’s just pure misogyny.

And before the accusations come flying in, do I think any less of people who choose to have sex outside of marriage? Absolutely not. That being said, my religion is important to me so I want my future husband to have the same religion as me, and since I do follow the “no sex outside of marriage” rule, it’s a rule I would expect him to be following too at the time he wanted to marry me and after we’re married lol

I'm going to give you an honest answer. Keep in mind that everyone's prefernece varies.

Some girls may not mind a guy who is a virgin, but some girls would not want to date a guy who is a virgin. I think some dont, because some guys get really attached to the girl after they lose their virginity to her. Maybe some girls fear that type of attachement. While other girls may not really care if you are a virgin or not, because it doesn't really matter as long as they like you for who you really are. To be perfectly honest, an overwhelming majority of women WON'T CARE if you are a virgin or not. In fact, some may even prefer virgin guys.

I went through the comments, and being shy is perfectly okay, but you have to work on it. You cannot always be shy. How are you going to find a girlfriend then? Sure, a girl shoukd love you for who you are, but being shy is not a positive thing. Please stop downgrading yourself. All of us have our good and bad days. NOBODY is truly ugly. You may THINK you are ugly, but in reality, women will find you attractive. There is someone for everyone.

I'm not gonna answer that part of the question because that's not the issue at hand. The issue at hand is that you have low self-esteem, and you need to get that checked. Workout, improve your grooming and get a good haircut, and your looks will improve significantly. Then you want to build your confidence up by looking in the mirror and complimenting yourself everyday (yes, sounds corny I know) until you believe those words. Then you want to put in practice and approach more and more women. With time your awkwardness will start to disappear, and you will learn how to break the ice and move the conversations with natural flow. From there the rest ain't really that hard, you get her number and you do what you have to do. If you don't want to put in the work, that's your issue, but don't complain about it. There's a price for everything, and you need to start if you want to get somewhere. These girls may give you sugar-coated answers, but they may not necessarily believe what they tell you. You gotta be the best version of yourself, even if you aren't genetically blessed, that's still fine and you shouldn't be discouraged to to at least try.

My first serious boyfriend was a virgin along with me in our late teens. Him being a virgin wasn't the issue, it was the selfishness and unrealistic expectations of what he thought sex is. All his sexual knowledge came from porn; so he thought he could mold me into this semi-dominatrix lady to fit the type of porn he likes to watch. Many women do actually take it as a red flag, especially the older you get. Women in general are attracted to men who other women want too.

Me personally, I don't care. People are virgins for many different reasons. You don't need to explain yourself to anyone, and people who do mind, generally from experience, they would never care about you as a person to begin with. I am a virgin, and honestly I don't think I'd care too much as long as the person I'm having sex with is someone I like who likes me back, they ask me how I'm feeling, check on me, we take it slow and do all the proper preparations like condoms and stuff before-hand.
Of course, that may also depend on if they're the one who decide take control, or vice-versa.

I'm unsure which I would prefer between taking control or giving control to another.
