Hey guys! A guy asked me out by asking if I’m down for dinner sometime. No specific date or time or place was suggested. So I said let me know what you have planned. Is that overboard? I’m not trying to play any kind games here but I am a planner and like guys who respect that. We’re all busy and I don’t appreciate last minute plans. Sure maybe there’s no bad intentions behind it but that’s my personality and I prefer to find someone who is on the same level. Now this is more when we first start dating, obviously as we become stable etc it’s not as necessary but I find it a sign is respect and not like I’m your last minute choice.

Sorry, there’s a bit more history between us which is why I said that, because he has this history of asking last minute, so I wanted to be explicit I want a plan this time. He said haha ok I’ll let you know when I do - is that brushing me off or he’s taking time to think?

Could be either, but since you mentioned how important it is to you give him at least one shot to redeem himself. Some people live their entire lives being late, flying by the seat of their pants... which is great, but don't expect me to participate.
