In a sense, yes. You could agree and see if maybe he wants to do a call or grab a drink. I would be very wary about any push he makes for the "outing" to be at his place. If he suggests you coming to his place, he just wants to get in your pants. If that's what you're up for, go for it. But a guy asking a girl on a proper date will almost certainly ask a couple days or so in advance, not a matter of hours.

Only way to know is to say yes and see what he suggests. Or, suggest doing a call yourself and gauge how he acts.
