Just starting college and I wanted to ask how should I try and find new friends/group?

Go out regularly to whatever the people go to there. Talk to people in general. Just be social. Don't ask anyone for anything. Just add to the party. Spend more time talking to the people you vibe with. Repeat

Just being a regular to whatever and giving people positive experiences with you over and over wins friends. Social media helps but I'm not big on it.

I only exchange numbers with people if they ask or if it's within the context of plans we agree upon. Either one is more solid and genuine

Join groups and student organizations where the students share your interests. You'll also make frieds in your classes and your dorm (if you live in one).
