Unfortunately there just some things you can't determine or decide for yourself. Like you can't choose who your family is, but you can choose your friends. Your just born into your family. Your biological mom and dad are your biological parents and even though you may make strong bonds with surrogate parents, the DNA will always determine who your biological parents are. I completely agree that this is an uncomfortable truth, as person who had been adopted and even though I know my biological mother is dead, I refuse to meet or associate with my biological father. I love my step parents to death, but I will never be their biological prodigy. This a fact I have not been able to avoid to confront and deal with on many levels throughout my life. But that fact that I have confronted it and accepted it as part of who I am, has made me a better, strong, mentally, physically, emotionally healthier and productive person.

If you were born with a vagina or penis you are a biological male or female, and you can disassociate yourself with that biological fact... but in the end you will always know the truth and those around you will suspect or know. Even though you may surround yourself or isolate your self within a community of people that will engage in the fantasy with you... it will never change the true fact and you will neve be able to truly escape it.

So if you claim to be heterosexuals then by definition you can not or would not engage in sexual relationship with a Trans-gender. That would make you by definition some other than heterosexual, and since well over 90% of the population is heterosexual being transgender really reduces your chances of finding a long lasting and enduring relationship.

Please provide some reference if you want to give a percentage. I quickly googled and did not see any study with an estimate above 2 percent, some as low as 0.05 %.
But anyways, it is definitely not many I encounter. I have known less than a handful in my entire life, and most of those were in teen years and they did not transition or used hormones I think, and some were more like genderfluid. I know ok many homo- and bisexuals though, so it is not like I only come in circles with people very similar to myself.
