It's a fading stigma. Younger generations are rejecting it. Older generations are bitter-clinging to it. My grandma is very nervous that I'm talking to a black gal, and could end up dating her for real. She thinks (almost) all black gals are sluts, and that their brothers are all gangbangers. My grandpa is even worse in this regard.
He had a problem with a black gang stalking him back when he was a meat packer in the 70s or what-not. Which is why he always carried a shotgun whenever he went to do business in Detroit. That city tainted his view of black folks forever. You can take him out of Detroit; but you can't take Detroit out of his PTSD. That city was and still is trash.
I've lived about half my life in the Lansing area. And I can tell you this: the ghettos on the far north and south sides are pretty bad there too. Just not nearly as insanely homicidal as Detroit. Only, in Holt and what-not, the whites and blacks were equally guilty of making it a ghetto. I even tried in high school to rescue a girl I liked from the ghetto life. But it was too late: the hood already got her hooked on drugs. And the drugs appealed to her more than I did.
Now, my parents are a bit more understanding. My mom likes this gal, but made sure to remind me that my grandpa will never approve of me dating black. I don't think my grandma mentioned to him that she's black. But he'll especially be upset to learn she's not a virgin. I really couldn't care less; so long as her heart's in the right place today. If she's cleaned up her act and her body, loves God, and has no diseases, I can forgive that she's had 3 or 4 dicks in her already. In high school, lots of women do stupid things. Some of them get wiser. I admire them when they do.
My aunt doesn't trust Filipinas, because a cousin of hers got screwed over by one. It only takes one gold digger sometimes, to poison the well for everyone. So every time I showed interest in a Filipina, my aunt would flip out.
My family also was uneasy about me dating a Chinese woman. Not that they had anything personal against her; but Pooh is insane. They were worried if I went to China to meet her in person and meet her family, I'd never make it home alive.
Weirdly enough, I have the hardest time dating white girls. Far too many of them have been cruel, abusive bitches to me in the past. A few were even outright psychotic!
Sweetheart I have no idea what you're talking about or how to explain and express your situation. I'm looking at the picture on your post, and you should be proud that you're actually dating someone that understands you and love you for you and not just what's between your legs. I'm actually quite jealous a guy like him actually struck gold once. So you shouldn't really give a damn about the stigma or whatever it is. As long as you're happy with the guy you're with in the relationship, that's all what matters. Let everything of play out.
I feel like there is definitely still some stigma around it. But our current generation is more accepting of interracial dating which is awesome. I'm a black woman and I've only been with white guys and my current boyfriend is white. Believe it or not, most of the "backlashed" I have received is from black men and women. When me and my boyfriend are out in public, we do get a few looks here and there (mostly looks of observation and wonder, not insulting looks) and it just is what it is. Regardless of what anyone thinks, I love who loves me and who treats me best. Anyone who has an issue with that can kick rocks.

As a we will say presenting white man ill just talk about what i come into contact with the most in terms of interracial dating where it is a big deal.
So say i date a girl from a small town. she's white. She had three exbfs. All three were black. In her town there are only 4 single black men around her age and she dated 3 of them. I would absolutely hold this against her. She didn't happen to meet a man of another race and like him, she has been seeking out men of that race. That is a sign of some kind of mental issues and huge red flag. I would absolutely not date her.
Alternatively say she's a pretty normal white girl and i find out she had a single black exbf. Not a big deal unless i find out he has gold teeth, pants sag, face tattoo, says he's a rapper. This leads me to believe its not she simply dated a black guy because there's tons of normal black guys, she dated a walking stereotype. This is a big red flag and sign of mental issues.
Last situation would be where she buys into things like "once you go black... etc" if thats true why you trying to date me a white guy? Sorry but once you start saying that stuff it shows you have some very messed up racial attitudes and even if you would still date a white guy its a big red flag and clearly mental issues that need to be worked out.
Now I've talked to some of my black male friends over the years and some have said idc fuck any girl no matter what dumbass shit she says but quite a lot said they agree with my points. If they met a white girl who is out searching for black men just because they are black or wants some stereotype they are not into that because they aren't some stereotype and dont want to be viewed as that. Also think those girls have mental issues. If a girl just generally dated a normal black guy then i wouldn't care much about it. But here's the issue... in practice i dont typically get to meet a girls exs... so i have to assume the worst. When a girl says she dated a black guy or i just know in general how am i to know if it was normal or some kind of weird fetish situation? I dont. And since i have to make a bet in terms of marriage and kids etc ill take the safe bet and just not date her. So sadly these people doing this weird fetish shit are in practice making more racialized outcomes instead of properly getting rid of racism.
Personally im a certain kind of man I don't know exactly what it is maybe perceived masculinity or something but i as a white guy have been an exception to quite a few white women who only or mostly date black guys so I've really seen this up close to come to these conclusions through trial and error and tbh these girls have all made my most fucked up in the head women I've ever met so thats why i have no problem saying these are clear mental instability issues when they do this stuff.
I think it depends on what state you were raised in. If you live in Vegas or the coasts, it is more acceptable there. If you live in the South/Midwest, not so much. Personally, as a Black man I prefer to marry someone Black who can also relate to my experiences, but I think others should be free to date who they want.
Also, when it comes to the Black community, the family may not accept it at first, because it's a pride thing. Black parents want to see "Black excellence", so when he becomes successful they want to see him with a fellow Black woman, like Jay-Z and Beyonce or Obama and Michelle. Of course, that doesn't mean they will not accept you, it just takes time for them to warm up to you, but eventually they will. I don't know about White parents because I don't have White parents lol, neither have I dated someone White, but that's how it is on our side.

There is stigma to a degree. People who are vocal because they may be racist or gatekeeping to race only, like only white should date white, black should only date black bullshit, otherwise it is seen as inferior genetic breeding and tainting of race or race loathing.

Depends on the culture. I've definitely faced stigma in regards to me being white and initiating a relationship with an Arab girl. Arabs act like I'm stealing their women from them.
But, as someone else said, a bigger problem is dating someone that consistently posts trashy photos online. Their behavior is more troublesome than their race.
The stigma is created by the interracial daters. Just look most recently at the Zac Stacy assault video. The internet is filled with interracial assault videos. Of course, Who can forget what happened to Nicole Brown Simpson. I'm sure she regrets her choice.

I think there is more of a stigma to applied to women with fake tits and suspect disproportionately sized asses, than interracial dating. Implies they are more into appearances, materialist, high maintenance drama queens.

Unfortunately there is still a stigma against it. The only people that have a problem with it are the ones that are old-fashioned or racist.
I think so, but in my experience it’s usually along stereotypical lines. As a bigger woman, if I date a black man, his interest in me is reduced to my size, and my interest is reduced to my having to “take what I can get”. A lot of situations like that seem to come up at least as often as the question of “if” interracial relationships are tolerated by society which I have seen some vile evidence that it’s not as tolerated as you’d might be asked to believe.
In some countries and areas it’s most likely more a thing.

I. never had issues with a mixed race couple. My old roommate was black and married a white girl. They used to talk about how they would be given separate checks when dining out because people thought they weren't together. But that's about all.
