Oops, I do that. Well basically it depends on the timing and on with how many of them I'm chatting with. So for me this is usually how it goes: I have tinder plus which means I can see who swiped on me. I open the app and spend around 5 minutes or less going through those who swiped on me, and lets say I swipe back on 5 of them. Most of them send a message right away, and I end up chatting with 5 guys in the same time. Depending on how much free time I have (I go on tinder during work breaks, for example) it can get crowded and during that time I already arranged a meeting and exchanged numbers/social media with 1 or 2, so I unmatch those who are least interesting/attractive/responding. I don't want to lead them on when I already found few potential dates, and if I was leaving all them active in my chat the list it would be be enormous. Then if it doesn't work out with those, the circle repeats.
My advice is to message them right away and respond right away and try to get their number or social media right from the start.
I'd say they've either swiped by accident or just aren't interested anymore after having a conversation.
Every match won't work out and people use tinder for loads of different reasons, ego boost, sex, relationships etc
If it's starting to affect you negatively though, I'd suggest having a break.
I'm not really sure but I can only answer to the information I see, maybe because they realize it's not really their type anymore? Or maybe they just followed you to get your attention? I'm not sure I think i need a little more information.. And plus girls can be pretty indecisive
