Guys, Why do guys match then immediately unmatch girls on Tinder?

Today I matched with a guy from my old high school in Tinder who I've actually had a crush on for a while and I was pretty excited about it but then when I went to message him he unmatched me almost immediately. Why do guys do that? I feel like guys usually think I'm attractive and I usually get a lot of matches on Tinder as well but I'm just really curious. Did he maybe feel awkward because we have a lot of mutual friends? I know he's moving out of state soon too so maybe that's why? What do you think?

Maybe he was embarrassed because he knew you would recognize him and know who he is. And maybe he wanted to see if you would match with him or not. Guys probably send mass feeds to match with a lot of girls hoping the girl matches with them. It's all fun and games. Maybe he might be taken.
