Do people actually get into relationships just for sex?

I think getting into a relationship just for sex is the most stupidest thing a person can do in their life.

I mean it doesn't take rocket science to realize that relationships are more than just sex. not sure if its because I'm a man but I myself talking from experience can have sex with whoever I want just as long as that woman makes my dick hard.

relationships in the other hand are sacred to me. you gotta do way more than just make my dick hard if you expect me to get in a relationship with you. not sure if I'm being too choosey but you gotta proof to me that you're worth my time and worth having you around.

till then it seems like a lot of the women I've tried to get with are the polar opposite, even the ones I met in hookup apps. they seem to want to get into relationships as fast as ordering food at a fast food drive through but act all stingy and defensive when you're honest with them and tell them you only want sex.

but I was wondering am I alone here? why do people get into relationships just for sex? and why is this so common among women?

Why not just be friends though? I got lots of great female friends. I just don't have sex with them. We got affection, intimate conversations, everything but sex. For sex and expressing the deepest of my affections and desires, all related at least somewhat to sex, I got my wife.

You know, like with guys if you're heterosexual like me. I have no interest in guys sexually and so that's why we're just friends. I never wanted to marry a guy or be boyfriend with a guy.

That is why I only ever wanted to have romantic relationships with specific women in spite of having lifelong friendships with guys, women I didn't want that way, dogs and cats even. If we remove the sex I see no point.

Of course never just for sex. But sex is vital to me. It's what's elevates a relationship status from "friendship" to "lover".

Well, for me a casual relationship is when you solely meet with that person for sex no feelings involved. A committed relationship is the total opposite of that in a committed relationship you fall in love with your partner, care for them, share your thoughts and your life with them, spend time with them more frequently etc etc etc.
