If you were in your 20s would you date just for fun & short term or would you date for marriage for long term?

No one young is ready, or really looking for marriage, but on the other side of that coin, no one really, truly looks for someone date them short term, get them all riled up with sex and feelings, only to have the other person just up and leave, but that's the way things are.

There's no way around it. You have to date to tell if someone is someone you like and would want to build more with, but who really wants to waste all of that time for nothing in the end?

All dating is, is a learning and experimenting stage, but that doesn't stop feelings, and when feelings get hurt, it breeds resentment and some become soured with the process and the other gender.

I really don't know how to advise you. Long term is the ideal situation, but how to get there without learning how, or if you're compatible with someone, without trying and all of the associated pain and angst.

I don't envy anyone dating these days, especially with the shallowness of the internet. You can't tell who's real, or if they're even real, and despite all of the promises of long term intentions, people will pull up short for some of the silliest reasons, leaving you hanging.

I am in my twenties and I'm being careful, it's honestly most about accomplishment and self pride tho, not to mention I'm not really into playing girls for sex as I'm that type of person, I guess just knowing I'm different than anyone else keeps me motivated

Well because I'm 20 and I look forward in marriage in the near future or years from now but people think just because I'm 20 I shouldn't be thinking about that. I should have fun and date around with multiple guys.

People are just simple minded and blind, they don't know how your actions can eventually collapse on you, they think in the present and not the future, people that think and act for their future are just brighter than the ones that don't, all I know is that my wife is getting the whole package, from loyalty to virginity and that's not something that she will get if I wouldn't have thought ahead when I was younger, for example, you participated in a threesome, how you think your soul mate would feel about that, not to mention how it would effect the relationship, they can hold a grudge and treat you a certain way, better safe than sorry is all I'm saying 🤷🏽

When I started my 20s I wanted long term, I don't know why, I guess I just wanted to find someone that I know I will spend the rest of my life with. It took me awhile and a lot of heart breaks because the guys didn't agree with what I wanted, but when I turned 26 I found the one I wanted to spend my life with. Been together for 4 years now

Thank you. I was told that as well, and I just felt like that's not really me and it made me uncomfortable talking to a lot of guys and having fun. Plus it just made me feel like they were just after one thing.

20s or 40s.. I would date to get to know the other person. Long term or short term is determined by what I learn about them and how it aligns with my core values and expectations at that point in life.. point being I go in with an open mind and see where the road takes me..

Date for long term personally. I would like kids by the age of 28 and would like to be in a decent healthy relationship with a house financially stable by then which would take a few years so. I always date for marriage anyways otherwise you're dating to break up?

I don't know about where you're from but that's how it works here, you date for fun and you're going to find one that you're not going to want to let go of and hopefully she feels the same way and that's how you end up with a wife or a husband
