What are your opinions of people dating while they're pregnant? My friend is pregnant and she's on the majority of dating apps out there but she is keeping her pregnancy a secret until she meets guys in person and then it's obvious as she's showing.

I don't agree with the fact she isn't letting people know until they've already met her? I think the men she's meeting deserve to know that they're meeting someone who's already pregnant.

How would you feel about this? Or how would you feel if you met up with a woman who was already pregnant?

I'm trying to tell her in the nicest way possible as I don't wish to fall out with her but she thinks it's completely fine.

Yeah she don't want to say cause then she would get attention from guys who want to date or fuck a pregnant girl, and she would think of them as fetishist even tho they are the ones being clear about what they want, so to avoid them she's going to lie to the other guys being clear about wanting a relationship and treat them like shit.

Yeah it's pretty fucking stupid to be catfishing these guys like that. Get there and find out she's not the family material you thought she is cause she is CURENTLY carrying some other guys kid, oh and you know she literally just got out of some other relationship and has the most baggage possible, oh and she's about to be in huge medical debt, which I will NOT be a part of.

Who says she’s in her right mind? Her hormones are different and her support left.

I’d talk to her when I was single and that age. whether I’d stay or call back is a question… I probably would because I was very screwed up and looking for a wounded bird to save. So I think I would. There are guys who would likely take her on.

Being wiser now I’d not get involved.
She should disclose. She should also work it out w the x because that is a giant train wreck on the making.

First, dating while pregnant anyways, I think should be a no.
That's the time to be preparing for your new child, not trying to find a guy...
But the fact that you say your friend isn't even disclosing the fact that's she's pregnant till after she meets them in person is really F'd up. She shouldn't be leading guys on, wasting their time, because even if they were okay dating a pregnant woman, they're not going to be okay with her not being honest and upfront from the get go. And she's lying when she says it's completely fine, she knows it's not or she wouldn't be hiding it in the first place...
She really needs to grow up, especially as she's about to become a parent... That's what she should be concentrating on right now, not guys

You friend should be focusing on her pregnancy and her child. She sucks for not telling men she's pregnant before meeting them in person. It's going to be a deal breaker for a lot of men because many men don't want to get involved with a woman who is already pregnant. She needs to own up to her shitty behavior and either tell those men about her pregnancy or just stay off dating apps altogether. She should at least wait a few years after the baby is born to go back on dating apps.

If she's just trying to get laid, I don't understand why she wouldn't tell them she's pregnant before meeting them. Her not telling them makes it seem like she's trying to get someone take care of her kid. That's what I would think.

If she is just looking for sex, it's still very telling on what kind of mother she's going to be. If she can't even make her child her main priority until she at least safety has the baby, she's going to continue putting strange men before the child after it's born. I wish I had a nicer way to say this but your friend seems like a slut and she's going to be a shit mother.

You think a guy is not gonna be like “wtf” when he discovers she’s got a kid on the way and she never disclosed that prior to meeting up?

She’s being disrespectful by not telling them right away before they meet up, she’s also wasting both their and her own time. I know pregnant women who’ve dated while pregnant but they’ve been honest right away and surprisingly many men don’t mind at all and many lf them found serious relatinnships. Honesty is pretty important for a relationship. Keeping something as important as your pregnancy a secret is being intentionally deceptive. I agree with you, they deserve to know.

It comes down to expectations. If the context if one-night-stand, I suppose it doesn't matter much. If the expectation is that this may lead to a relationship, it's dishonest not to share that you're pregnant.

I see it as kind of an disrespect for my baby if I were pregnant I’ll wait until I give birth safely. She might need a man I don't know due to money issues? She is lonely? etc — it can be any reason but it’s wrong

It’s odd. I would think that the focus would be on the baby. It comes across as a search for a supporter especially when hiding it.
Not saying this is the case here. Some people simply can’t stand being alone. A few think that becoming pregnant ties a person to them. It was a common theme among my peers when I was a teen. They learned it’s not the case.
